A New Adventure in Pet Care: Our Journey with Barney the Basset Hound

 After four decades with the same company, an unexpected redundancy along with changes in my health encouraged me to rethink what I wanted from life. I knew I needed a new direction, one that brought joy, purpose and a chance to work closely with the animals I’ve always adored. That’s how Barney’s Pet Supplies began.

 Animals have always been part of my heart. After raising two wonderful German Shepherds, Barney the Basset Hound arrived in 2019 and turned our world upside down in the best possible way. With his stubborn charm, comic timing and love of meeting absolutely everyone he quickly became the inspiration behind the business and, of course, our official product tester.

 What started as a general pet supplies shop has now evolved into something much more focused and meaningful. Today, Barney’s Pet Supplies specialises in natural, health‑promoting treats and enrichment products, carefully chosen to support the wellbeing, happiness, and everyday enrichment of your pets. We’ve stepped away from the broader “everything” model and now concentrate on products that genuinely make a difference and help your cats and dogs with their physical and mental health.

 You will also find us regularly at local pop‑up shops and events where we love meeting customers face‑to‑face, helping owners choose the right natural treats and enrichment for their companions. Barney often joins me, soaking up the attention and greeting his growing fan club.
